Overview: SpotiCap is a web client for Spotify
No forced shuffle : You know, the thing you’re already supposed to be able to do, but Spotify decided you need to pay extra for the privilege of listening to your own playlist in order? Yeah, that just works here. You’re welcome.
No ads : Through a completely accidental series of events that nobody could have possibly foreseen, the WebView configuration we chose for optimal browsing performance happens to also prevent certain audio and visual elements from loading. We are as surprised as you are. Total coincidence. Very unfortunate for Spotify’s ad revenue. Thoughts and prayers.
Media controls : Lock screen controls, notification player, the works. Like a real app, because it basically is one.
Desktop-grade player : We spoof the user agent to get the full web player instead of Spotify’s crippled mobile web experience. Desktop users get nice things. Now you do too.
What’s New:
– Fixed Scrub Bar disappearing.
– Android Auto basic support. Requires Android Auto Developer options and Unknown Sources to be enabled in Android Auto settings.
– Swipe the now-playing bar to change tracks.
– Theme picker added to SpotiCap Settings, including 2 new additional themes.
– Scrubbable song progress bar in the full-screen player.
