Russia has created a domestic application store RuMarket.
In the first release of the catalog there are about 20 applications, including mobile applications of some banks that fell under sanctions and whose applications were removed from Google Play.
The investors were Anatoly Smorgonsky, CEO of the Russian division of Gett, and a group of “private IT investors”.
It is expected that investments in the project will amount to about 100 million rubles until full payback, not including the budget for the marketing promotion of the project.
The first version of RuMarket will be free for both users and developers.
In the next releases, it is planned to expand the functionality – monetization, rating system.
All applications will be moderated and checked by the system for viruses.
