Weather Route aims to make sure you never have to cancel another trip due to a weather surprise.
There’s nothing like the uncertainty of knowing if you’ll reach your destination. Instead of searching for weather forecasts city-by-city, get all the information you need all at the same time, in an easy to understand display.
* Check the current weather throughout your entire road trip and compare city forecasts side-by-side. See if there’s snow in that high mountain pass, or flash flooding across that lonely desert, all at the same time.
* Get recommendations for the best time to start your trip.
* View the full route of your trip or individual legs with interactive Google Maps.
* View highway camera images for your trip from nearby traffic cameras. Look for the camera icon when viewing the map.
* Be alerted about severe weather alerts along your route.
* Use the slider to adjust the time of your trip to see the forecast up to several days ahead.
* Wind and precipitation levels inform whether it’s safe for trucking, RV trips, and motorcycle excursions, as well!
* Switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius (and other unit displays) in the settings.
This app is the paid, ad-free version of Weather Route. If you’d rather have the free ad-supported version, look for it in the other apps listed under “More from developer”.
What’s New
The time slider has been updated to show a scale more representative of the time points. Also, the map has been updated to show forecast images, rather than the red markers (you can still tap them to go to that location!).
