The new content for this update largely revolves around expanding the mage-storyline. In total we’re talking around 40.000 new words, and around 60 new art pieces. If you’ve never played the mage storyline; you get to it by doing Intro > Leave with Kate > Don’t join mercenaries > Scream when you meet the bandit in the alley. If you follow those steps, you get started on the mage storyline.
