Dawn Chorus is a wholesome and light-hearted non-linear romance furry visual novel set in Norway.
Moving to another country for studies is a huge step, but it is also a chance for a new beginning. No matter how hard you try, you can never really leave your past behind, though. It’s been two months since the beginning of the academic year and you are about to take part in a science camp in a remote guesthouse above the arctic circle, and an old friend from your hometown is going too. Will you embrace your past or try to move forward? Will you manage to befriend your fellow camp-goers? And will one of your friendships blossom into something more?​

I’m coming back for another update, this time for most of the routes: *our whole main cast other than Klaus and Torulf (but including Guðrún). For all three, we have three new after-breakfast scenes to choose from, in a manner similar that we’ve employed for days 1 and 2. All have some smaller or bigger variations for specific routes. We hope you enjoy these more lighthearted scenes before we dive into more personal territory again near the end of Day 5!
It’s a mid-sized update with >9k words of new content split across the new scenes. I had to hurry with it a bit; it was a busy month not unlike December, with me moving to Athens and being swamped with assignments for my postgrad studies. I have finally settled in here and the bulk of the update was done in the latter half of the month; now I need to finish working on detailed sketches for day 5 and epilogues, so that I can commission all the artwork we need.
The next update will feature smaller, cosier scenes that are supposed to conclude these three; I hoped to include them in this update, but I wasn’t able to finish them in time. After that, there’s another round of hanging out before we we’re starting with Jørgen’s party that streamlines the spiral of events. I truly can’t wait to get to writing the very ends of each route so that I can share them with you!

– new illustrations for the first kiss with Lake, done by Yvonn with additional shading by our Haku
– new jumps: for each of the characters, now you can jump either to the newest update, or to the beginning of Day 5
– Lars, our patron, taking place of the luthier on Rune’s route with a brand new sprite
– a change to Lake’s end of Day 3 – I brought back the earlier wording of the choice and other elements of the previous version of the scene
– lots of fixes and small improvements for earlier scenes
